In a recent presentation, Manhattan Research Vice President of Research Monique Levy noted that of the 86 percent of the general population going online for health, half are mobile health users. Recently, Salesforce released the responses of its new “State of the Connected Patent”, which showed millennials prefer to engage with their doctors through the latest technology. As Sprint gears up for the second class of its mobile health accelerator program in Kansas City, it’s added a clutch of hospital and health system partners. The market for mobile health monitoring and diagnostics was worth $650 million in 2012, according to a new report from Transparency Market Research. In response to Mississippi’s low rankings in overall health, health care stakeholders in 2013 launched the Center for Telehealth program at the University of Mississippi. The program now remotely connects with 165 sites – covering 35 specialties such as psychiatry and premature infant care – and provides about 8,000 telemedicine visits per month.  Read Original Content
