Online-delivery service WeDeliver is launching its mobile shopping site ahead of the holidays. The company, whose primary business is providing same-day delivery for local merchants, announced during Techstars' Demo Day in August that it would begin offering a mobile commerce platform called Locally for those same merchants.  Read Original Content

In order to do so, BitPay has partnered with SumUp, a developer of point-of-sale systems that accept Bitcoin payments as well as payments made with conventional currencies. According to a Federal Reserve report, "Consumers and Mobile Financial Services 2014," 17 percent of U.S. smartphone users have made a point-of-sale payment using their mobile phone in the past 12 months. Visa Inc. and MasterCard Inc. are facing a potential blow in Canada as the government prepares to give merchants ammunition to fight any fee increases stemming from the growing use of mobile payments. Apple CEO Tim Cook said recently he planned to meet soon with Jack Ma, founder of Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group, to talk partnerships. Burger King has selected PayPal as a payment processor for their mobile app. To confirm payment a four digit pin is required.  The app will not only allow consumers to pay on their mobile devices, but will also offer exclusive discounts and general information such as Burger King locations, menu, and nutritional information.  Read Original Content
