Gemalto, a leading provider of digital security solutions, has been chosen by China Mobile to protect consumers using mobile payments for mass transit in Beijing, China. Internet Retailer’s 2015 Mobile 500 reports the number of retailers with responsive websites increased 164 percent compared to 2014. EQUITY Bank, whose micro-loans offerings have helped increase the number of Kenyans using formal financial services, is looking to break into Kenya’s booming mobile telecoms market. Turkey's Isbank has enabled Apple's TouchID fingerprint login for mobile banking on the iPhone. The new functionality removes the need to type in a PIN, enabling a quick and easy login for users of the Monitise-powered İşCep app on the iPhone5 and above.  Read Original Content

Recently Wal-Mart and prepaid card provider Green Dot launched GoBank, a mobile-first checking account that aims to serve the nation’s under-banked. The accounts will have no minimum balance, no overdraft fees will be charged and account holders will gain access to 42,000 free ATMs.  Read Original Content

In its latest survey, Aite Group found a positive shift in corporate treasurers’ attitudes toward mobile banking, with only five percent of treasurers saying they were concerned about security and would likely not adopt it. In 2010, 43 percent of treasurers said security was a concern that would prevent them from using mobile banking.  Read Original Content

In a recent BankChoice Monitor survey of consumers shopping for new checking accounts on FindABetterBank.com, 36 percent of shoppers say they must have mobile banking with their next checking account — shoppers under 30 are more than twice as likely to require mobile banking compared with shoppers age 60 or older.  Read Original Content

Monetate announced the launch of its latest global Ecommerce Quarterly report. The latest EQ uncovers the most dramatic changes in mobile commerce to date, with mobile traffic skyrocketing 120 percent over the past year, overtaking traffic from tablets. Square, a prominent mobile payments firm in North America, recently announced it will be registering its service with Apple Pay. The firm is yet another prominent entity in the mobile commerce space that has begun showing support for the Apple Pay platform.  Read Original Content

New research indicates marketers risk a whopping 313 percent drop in application use when more than one beacon message is delivered per location.  “On the other hand, when beacons are used as a utility, this can lead to a 500 percent increase in interactions,” reports Mobile Marketer, citing data from inMarket.  Read Original Content
